Course details
Learn treatment preparation, professional scalpel handling and a controlled stroke technique for surface exfoliation.
Online pre-study
Students use the online portal to complete theory and video preparation before class. Study covers consultation, treatment suitability, skin and workstation preparation, professional tools and safe blade handling.
Practical training
The practical day begins with a live Educator demonstration and continues with three supervised treatments. Students develop safe grip, angle, stroke and blade control while following the complete treatment protocol.
Theory assessment
After practical training, students complete an open-book theory assessment using the training manual and online course material. It checks understanding of safety, preparation, contraindications and treatment procedure.
Case studies
Students complete five case studies and submit the results for Educator review. Feedback focuses on preparation, blade and tool control, treatment coverage, client comfort and avoiding nicks or cuts.
Final assessment & certification
A practical final assessment follows completion of the theory and five case studies. The certificate is awarded when the Educator is satisfied that the student can perform a controlled, complete dermaplaning treatment.
